Welcome to month 2 update of my fountain pen ink lightfastness tests. While it may still seem to be very early to look at the ink samples, actually a lot of inks had to be pulled down from my window already. Without futher ado, I’m presenting here the results of the testing after 8 weeks of exposure to sun. This is not 8 weeks of total sun exposure. Direct sun exposure is estimated at this point at approximately 190-200 hours out of 800 hours total required.

Of course, photographed “treatment” slips are included where the fugitive inks were discarded. Enjoy the article and let me know what you think of the results. Which of the inks terminated you find particularly surprising? If you have any questions or comments, please let me know in the comments below.

As always, if you’re enjoying this series and want to stay updated, please consider subscribing to my newsletter and supporting my efforts. Share this article and feel free to pin any images on your Pinterest wall if you found it interesting, it means a lot.
